Online Safety
Put very simply, Online Safety is all about staying safe when using digital devices and services. It is essential that children feel comfortable using the Internet and understand the important, and forever increasing, role that it plays in modern-day life. It is vital that children understand how to stay safe online and protect themselves from potential threats, dangers, distressing or harmful content, and radicalisation.
We know it can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make things easier for you. This page is designed to be supportive, simple to use, and full of helpful, up-to-date information. The ‘Parents Guides’ below are favourites among parents because they provide key details about popular apps, games, and websites.
You don’t need to be an expert on every app or game out there - it’s more about being aware of the potential dangers. The most important thing is helping our children feel comfortable coming to you, their parents, if they ever feel unsure or unsafe online.
